"Every engineer ought to own a multi-tool pliers." This belief has guided me since I first entered the world of engineering. At Mountos Lab, we even established a house rule: anyone wishing to access lab equipment or develop hardware must present their favorite multi-tool and a quality pen as a badge of admission.
That's the light (points)! I once saw a car enthusiast's comment on an automotive fan forum: "It's precisely because our cars fall short that we must find ways to strengthen and make up for it..." — which struck a real chord with me.
Indigo dyeing (known as Aizome in Japan), an ancient handicraft found across diverse civilizations worldwide, has been handed down through generations—slow in tempo yet steadfast in tradition.
I bought a relatively inexpensive and highly praised LAMY fountain pen — the Lamy Safari 2007 white limited edition — as my first proper fountain pen in life (the Genki mini fountain pen, after all, can only be a toy).
The Scotch-Brite Disposable Toilet Scrubber is a bathroom cleaning product made by 3M in the United States. Available at major hypermarkets, supermarkets, and online, I purchased a starter set online to celebrate the renovation of my home bathroom. Mount Jade (Mt. Jade), standing at an elevation of 3,952 meters, is the highest peak in Taiwan Province and the highest in the Western Pacific island arc and East Asia. Neigan Great Waterfall, also known as Hongyegu Waterfall (or Liuzinan Waterfall), is situated on Datun Mountain. Visiting in autumn, the foliage flanking the falls was beginning to turn a slight red. Witnessing a blazing crimson display at this hidden fall clearly demands immense luck.
From the appearance of this sword lion, one can see its righteous spirit of honoring the Way and upholding the law, keeping for people the constant protection of warding off evil, suppressing misfortune, and invoking blessings. Taking the homophone variant "heng" (horizontal) of the character "heng" (constant), it further explains that this sword lion not only possesses a finely carved wooden design, but also expresses the fairness and justice contained in the words of the ancient sage Xunzi in his "Discourse on Ritual": "When the balance is truly hung, one cannot deceive it with light or heavy."
We spotted a connecting road by the roadside heading toward Taichung (at least that's what the sign indicated). As we drove in, Xiao-Xiang joked that driving mountain roads in a typhoon was thrilling. But after ten minutes, more and more fallen trees blocked the roadway. For safety's sake, I told Xiao-Xiang to turn back and stick to the main road.
