About Vedfolnir

Vedfolnir (Old Norse: Veðrfölnir) is a hawk that, according to Norse mythology, sits between the eyes of an eagle perched at the very top of Yggdrasil — the World Tree. The eagle surveys all of creation, and Vedfolnir in turn reports everything to Odin, the Allfather.

The name was inspired by a close friend who once observed that our founder had unusually sharp, piercing eyes — capable of spotting a snake on a distant branch deep in a forest, and instantly grasping the root cause and hidden complexity behind any problem. From that description, Vedfolnir was born.

“To explore, to feel, the real and unique world” — that is the spirit that founded this site. We aim to observe the world with a falcon’s clarity and a philosopher’s reason, bringing readers different perspectives, angles, and heights.
