Prize Claiming Rules and Guidelines

  1. Identification: Taiwan nationals must present their National ID card. Non-citizens and international travelers can present a valid Passport, Alien Resident Certificate (ARC), or Exit & Entry Permit along with the winning physical receipt or digital barcode claim slip. Claims must be submitted within official banking/store operational hours before the deadline.
  2. Valid Transactions: Receipts without specified sales amounts or marked with zero value are ineligible.
  3. Excluded Buyers: Invoices issued with government agency, state-owned enterprise, public school, military unit, or corporate tax ID numbers (Unified Business Number) cannot claim prizes.
  4. Withholding Tax: Prizes from the Fourth Prize (NT$ 4,000) and above are subject to a statutory 20% income tax withholding.
  5. Stamp Duty: Prizes from the Fifth Prize (NT$ 1,000) and above are subject to a 0.4% stamp duty if claimed in cash via physical counters.
  6. One Prize per Receipt: Each winning receipt qualifies for only one highest-tier prize.
  7. Mobile App Convenience: Ministry of Finance official app: Available on iOS App Store and Google Play under “統一發票兌獎” (Uniform Invoice Lottery). Bound domestic bank accounts can receive direct auto-deposits tax-free of stamp duties.

Note: Taiwan Post branches ceased in-person invoice lottery redemptions starting January 1, 2019.
