“Typhoon Usagi,” this super rabbit that brings typhoons, has been hailed by netizens as the second-strongest typhoon in 20 years. Don’t be fooled by the cute name Usagi — it is a thoroughbred rabbit monster.
The author’s sister-in-law’s younger brother, who is pursuing a graduate degree at National Pingtung University of Science and Technology, was even asked by his advisor to stay behind in the laboratory to prevent possible damage. I hope friends in the south will be careful of this violent rabbit (hop).
But dangerous as it is, another duck isn’t afraid at all. The yellow duckling, which had just made its public debut a few days ago, was already deflated and hidden away by engineers in Kaohsiung ahead of time.
(The duck says: don’t let the air out of me.)
From the news footage, one could see that at the moment the yellow duckling was deflated, a crowd’s faces were instantly filled with all kinds of a sense of loss. It seems that what was deflated was not only the yellow duckling, but even more the visitors’ inner hopes — and everyone’s childhood dreams.
Well, the author actually really looked forward to the scene of the yellow duckling being blown out to sea by Typhoon Usagi, and then a crowd going duck hunting.
Seeing such an interesting interaction between Usagi and the yellow duckling this time, I simply designed a funny meme. Does anyone understand the design concept of the yellow duckling Logo in the image below? (Hua Ma, don’t hit me.)

Typhoon Usagi battles the yellow duckling
But cute as it is, everyone should still remember to prepare early for Typhoon Usagi’s arrival.
Below is an East Asia satellite cloud image from 3 p.m. on the 20th for everyone’s reference. I was even startled by such a clear typhoon eye.
Having looked at typhoon satellite cloud images for so many years, I recall few occasions when such a clear typhoon eye has appeared.

Republic of China satellite cloud image
The one below is the satellite cloud image from 00:30 a.m. on the 21st. From the image one can see that Typhoon Usagi has come quite close to the southern part of the island of Taiwan.
Duckling, flee quickly, ah ah ah.

The author even discovered in this cloud image — wow — that this Usagi rabbit has become fatter and fluffier than in the afternoon! It seems it ate too nutritiously passing through the Kuroshio Current.
Finally, I still want to remind everyone, and all the foreigners waiting for waves along Taiwan’s coast, not to go to the seaside on typhoon days, and friends in the central and southern parts of the island of Taiwan should especially guard against strong winds and heavy rain!
Wishing everyone safety.
