This time the author specially entered the 2012 trademark Logo design and corporate identity design competition held by mainland China’s Tmall Group. I spent about an hour on the design, and after submitting there was not a word of news. Today I saw new design content appear — it seems I was thrown in the trash can at the first stage (hot tea).
Still, seeing the official works they selected, they are indeed much more interesting, and the minimalist graphics also have greater flexibility for subsequent applications. By contrast, my design was too concrete and thus lost that kind of suppleness.
Work description: The Logo, through the shape of a cat, adds a sense of fashion within a minimalist design; the bold use of color makes the Logo highly recognizable. The mascot extended from the Logo’s shape — an anthropomorphized cat — carries a sense of nobility.
