With the rising awareness of personal privacy protection in recent years, Facebook seems to be planning a more restrictive management plan, directly terminating and removing the previously existing profile information details.
The fields about to be canceled by FB also seem to be the original reasons Facebook was created back then, including romantic orientation, political stance, religious belief, and address. This move is nothing less than Zuckerberg drawing a line between himself and his younger self.
According to Facebook’s official explanation, this profile information removal operation will be carried out starting December 1, ROC year 111.
However, for the address part, information such as “current city,” “hometown,” and “other places lived” will be retained, displayed together with contact and basic information.
Although only four categories of data are being removed this time, you can download a copy of your Facebook data containing this information in the Facebook system settings page before the information is removed.
