China Airlines and Mandarin Airlines: Free International Ticket Changes in March and April (Unlimited Times)

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic (commonly called the Wuhan virus), the Republic of China’s national airline “China Airlines” and its subsidiary “Mandarin Airlines” launched a flexible ticket change fee waiver promotion, “Buy China Airlines and Mandarin Airlines Tickets with Confidence, Change Them as You Wish,” offering free and unlimited ticket changes during the period!

Passengers who purchase international tickets for China Airlines or Mandarin Airlines between March 14 and April 15, 2020, can change their tickets at least 7 days before the original departure date of each flight segment, immediately enjoying the free waiver of ticket change fees.

Details of the China Airlines and Mandarin Airlines “Buy with Confidence, Change as You Wish” Promotion

Original purchase date: March 14 to April 15, 2020.

Applicable ticket types: China Airlines and Mandarin Airlines international route tickets. (Special discount tickets DM, AD, ID, and group tickets are not applicable; tickets issued through travel agencies should be handled through the original issuing travel agency.)

Promotion conditions: Within the ticket’s validity period, change the ticket at least 7 days before the original departure date of each unused segment. For example, if the departure date of the first unused segment is April 20, 2020, the change must be made by April 13 at the latest.

Waiver content: Waiver of ticket change fees with no limit on the number of times, though any fare difference and tax difference arising from the new itinerary must be borne by the passenger.

Other fees:

• No-show fees (NOSHOW) are handled according to the original ticket rules.
• Preferred seat fees are handled according to the current preferred seat rules.
• Pre-purchased baggage fees are handled according to the current pre-purchased baggage rules.
• Ticket refunds are handled according to the original ticket rules.

Note: If the original ticket was purchased on the China Airlines website and the booking is changed on or after April 16, 2020, please contact a China Airlines branch office or customer service center to waive the ticket change fee.
