If you have been following and buying the Japanese-published “LADY BOUTIQUE” fashion magazine every month, you may have been wondering at the end of last October why you could not find the November issue.

In fact, starting from October, the magazine was no longer simply the October issue but was renamed the Autumn issue, meaning that “LADY BOUTIQUE” will officially switch to a bimonthly publication going forward — a rare occurrence in its decades of publication.

In the future, the official release date will be the 7th of every odd-numbered month of the year — that is, January, March, May, July, September and November. Only six issues will be published per year.

So those who have not yet bought the November issue only need to wait a few more days to order this year’s Winter issue after November 6.

Although it is uncertain whether the magazine’s decision was influenced by the 2019 novel coronavirus pneumonia (COVID-19), or whether professional magazines have finally been affected by the wave of digitalization, I only hope that when conditions allow in the future it can return to a monthly publication — after all, this is a fashion information source that is quite helpful to those who sew.
