When we prepare to set up a website, the most common headaches are nothing more than two: one is system failure, and the other is online hacker attacks.
On the several websites the author has set up, network attack behavior from many different countries can be found every day, wasting a large amount of network resources.
After tallying and calculating the number of online intrusions from these different attacking countries, we can find a pattern, and after arranging them by count, we get the following top ten countries, in order:
- United States of America (USA)
- Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the PRC (Hong Kong)
- Republic of Ireland
- United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (United Kingdom, Britain)
- Russian Federation
- Federal Republic of Germany (Germany)
- Socialist Republic of Vietnam (Vietnam)
- Ukraine
- Japan
- Kingdom of Sweden
Of course, this is not to say that these 10 countries are attacking foreign websites online all day long—it’s just that their networks are being used by hacker groups as relays for attacks, commonly known as springboards.
But it must be said that if it’s always these few countries causing trouble, it also indirectly proves that their network security management has serious problems.
