If you run a WordPress site on LiteSpeed, have you noticed anything unusual in the CyberPanel admin panel recently?

Some people find the File Manager misbehaving and unable to browse folders properly. In my case, PHPMyAdmin would not open automatically and instead displayed the message: “Auto-login for PHPMYAdmin is now supported. Click the button below to generate auto-access for PHPMYAdmin.”

Checking the System Log revealed an error: “type object ‘ProcessUtilities’ has no attribute ‘executioneroo’.”

After investigating this error, I found that CyberPanel had published a new announcement on October 291. It turns out these errors may all be related to a code-level vulnerability.

Note: If you only use LiteSpeed without installing CyberPanel, you will not encounter this error.

Fixing the CyberPanel Vulnerability

The latest official patch requires no extra steps. Simply log in to Linux via SSH and run the following command to update the system, which will fix the issue directly.

sudo su - -c “sh <(curl https://raw.githubusercontent.com/usmannasir/cyberpanel/stable/preUpgrade.sh || wget -O - https://raw.githubusercontent.com/usmannasir/cyberpanel/stable/preUpgrade.sh)“
