Apple has launched iPad versions of Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro for video and music production. The company says the new versions of Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro will offer brand-new touch interfaces designed specifically for iPad, allowing users to leverage intuitive multi-touch operations to improve work efficiency and creativity.

Final Cut Pro provides a powerful set of video editing tools, letting users record, edit, finish, and share videos using a single portable device. Final Cut Pro also leverages Apple’s on-device machine learning to accelerate time-consuming editing tasks, such as scene removal masks, automatic cropping, and voice isolation.

Users can choose from Final Cut Pro’s professional library of graphics, effects, and sound effects to enhance their storytelling. Users can import supported media from files or photos and save it directly in Final Cut Pro projects.

With Live Drawing, users can draw and write directly on video content using Apple Pencil, and can also speed up work efficiency through the use of keyboard shortcuts.

The iPad version of Logic Pro puts professional music creation capabilities in creators’ hands, with a complete set of professional tools for songwriting, beat making, recording, editing, and mixing.

Users can play software instruments with multi-touch gestures and interact naturally with controls. Using the built-in microphone, users can capture voice or instrument recordings. Apple Pencil can also be used for precise editing and detailed track automation. Logic Pro also offers over 100 powerful instrument and effect plug-ins to adjust and fine-tune tracks.

These two apps will be available for subscription on the App Store starting May 23 (URL).

In addition, the new versions of Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro offer many new features, such as editable HDR video, multicam video editing, and fast clip functions. Final Cut Pro also features machine learning-based fast clip functions that can quickly handle editing tasks, while Logic Pro offers a brand-new sound browser and over 100 powerful instrument and effect plug-ins.

iPad specifications compatible with these apps include: 12.9-inch iPad Pro (4th generation or later) and 11-inch iPad Pro (2nd generation or later).

Apple’s powerful, intuitive toolset designed specifically for iPad’s portability, performance, and touch-first interface makes Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro the ultimate mobile studio. It further liberates the free working environment for video creators.
