Uniform Invoice Prize Redemption Rules

1. Winners shall, during the redemption period, bring their national ID card (non-nationals may substitute a passport, residence permit, or a permit issued by the National Immigration Agency of the Ministry of the Interior) and the winning Uniform Invoice receipt, and redeem the prize in person at the counter during the business hours announced by the issuing unit. Late redemption is not permitted.
2. Uniform Invoice receipts that do not state the amount as required are not eligible for prize redemption.
3. Uniform Invoices whose buyer is a government agency, public enterprise, public school, military unit, or business entity are not eligible for prize redemption.
4. For winners of the Fourth Prize or above, the issuing unit shall withhold 20% income tax as required.
5. For winners of the Fifth Prize or above, a 0.4% stamp duty shall be paid as required.
6. For each winning Uniform Invoice, only one prize may be redeemed according to the highest prize category won.
7. Other matters concerning prize redemption shall be handled in accordance with the “Uniform Invoice Prize Award Regulations.”

Since January 1, 2019 (ROC year 108), post offices under Chunghwa Post have stopped redeeming Uniform Invoices: “New Policies Taking Effect in 2019: NT$23K Salary, Labor Insurance Increase, Heavy Motorcycle Parking Spaces, Straw Ban, and Income Tax Exemption.”
