To strengthen the people of the Republic of China’s awareness of danger in peacetime and their proficiency in air-defense procedures, the 2017 (ROC year 106) Joint Military-Civilian Air Defense Exercise (Wanan No. 40) is being held between February and May. The nation is divided into 7 regions—northern, central, southern, and eastern Taiwan, plus Penghu, Kinmen, and Matsu—to reduce the risk of casualties in the event of any future wartime air raid.
In 2017, practical drills including personnel and vehicle control, evacuation, and sheltering will be carried out. The schedule for each region is as follows:
Kinmen region (Kinmen County Government): February 21 (Tuesday): 13:30–14:00.
